Where to even begin when it comes to the natural beauty and charm of Ravello, Italy. As a newly engaged couple, It’s no wonder that Nic had planned for us to celebrate our recent engagement in Ravello. With it’s breathtaking views overlooking the Italian coast, cobble stone quaint streets, and authentic Italian charm, Ravello has to be one of the most romantic and breathtaking places on earth. Ravello is truly Made for Romance.

I couldn’t believe just how well thought out and truly romantic Nic had made our whole engagement trip. From start to finish, it seemed each place just got more beautiful than the last and that there was an unforgettable surprise just around every corner. Nic has always been the thoughtful type, but even for him, this trip blew me away in so many ways…and let’s not forget, I GOT ENGAGED! Ahh!!!

To all that are new to my blog, let me fill you in a bit. Nic and I got engaged this past summer. What I thought was our ritual summer travels turned out to be a two month long vacation touring around 14 different cities all throughout the coast of Italy and France. Capri, Italy was one of our very last stops throughout our travel itinerary, it’s also the most special and closest to my heart because it’s the place that Nic got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I will never forget that day as long as I live. (Proposal blog post here!) It was everything I had truly ever hoped for and so much more.

After the proposal and our stay in Capri, Nic had arranged (yes, even this without me knowing) for us to continue our travels along the Italian coast and celebrate as a newly engaged couple. We made our way to the Amalfi coast with stays in Positano and Ravello at the the charming Hotel Palumbo and a night stay at the beautiful Palazzo Avino where we deiced to take our engagement photos. It was in Ravello that we met with one of my best friends to help celebrate our engagement. It was some of the best days of my life, and getting to share it with friends made it that much more special.

Everything about Ravello was and is so historically beautiful. Everything about the Amalfi Coast is so undeniably beautiful, that if I were to ever have a “pinch me, I’m dreaming moment, visiting the Amalfi coast would definitely be it. This city is blanketed with romantic Italian charm, and genuineness like nothing I had ever experienced before. It’s truly a place that makes you fall in love more and more with each and every passing day. With beauty so surreal, and breathtaking Mediterranean views as far as the eye can see, it’s one place I think everyone should make a point to visit at least once in their lifetime. It’s places like this that truly make you take a step back and think, maybe, heaven is a place on earth.

You’ve made me the happiest girl in the world since the day we met, and that happiness only continues to grow with each passing day.
