Cheers To 30 Years!

My 30th birthday is one I will cherish for all my years to come. Wow, did I really just say the big THREE-OHHHH?! Where does the time go? To celebrate the ending of my twenties and entering this new decade in my life, I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with great friends, delicious eats, and beautiful florals…lots and lots of florals…..

Truth be told, I’m CRAZY about event styling and planning. I’m usually the first person to offer my help or services to any friends or family in need of an event coordinator and stylist, so I thought, who better to style my 30th birthday dinner rather than myself? It was my goal to create a whimsical and elegant tablescape complete with blush florals, pops of vintage gold, and white linens. Creating the tablescape is always the easiest part for myself, it’s the choosing of the venue that can be the tricky part.

I wanted a venue that delivered a romantic and whimsical ambiance, this would ultimately help in creating the overall mood of the entire dinner and requires little decor in creating an ambiance from scratch. I immediately remembered how much I love Casa Tua Hotel & Restaurant Miami Beach, and how I’ve always admired their decorative elegance and soft candlelit touches. It was perfect! I called right away and asked to book the chefs table downstairs that way my guests and I could indulge in a more personal dining experience.

Casa Tua was more than helpful. They helped me in planning my set menu, creating my custom menu header, and providing me with my choice of extra added fresh florals. After my Tablescape ideas and requests had been submitted and reviewed, I was able to get to work. I contacted one of my local florists that I can not recommend enough. I sent her ideas of what i had in mind, and when the night came to pick up my delivery, the work was even MORE stunning than I had imagined. I researched local cake bakers in my area, but being the picky person that I am, it was imperative that I found the perfect one that I knew understood my vision. That’s when I came across Sweet Treats and her BEAUTIFUL cakes. Simple, clean and elegant. Just the way I like them. In one short browse, I knew I had found the cake baker of my little birthday dreams. After sending some inspo pictures, I just knew there was not much more to say, we were both on the same page, and i could not WAIT to see the results!

what is a floral blush colored table without a touch of vintage gold? Because Casa Tua provides such a luxurious feel already with their table settings, my wish was only to enhance this elegance with a few simple yet glamorous touches. The bright white linens and subtle added candlelight provided by Casa Tua made it so that not much was needed for the table other than luxurious blush colored blooms of different variations, gold charger plates that I purchased from Aflorals.com and some pretty blush colored napkins. I also added a simple blush colored rose to each place seating for dimension and created a custom Snapchat filter for an added little detail (Which I can Blog about later If you’d like to know how). When styling or hosting an event, these added little details really help in making the occasion memorable.

Of course, the fashionista in me had to make sure that I had a birthday dress to match. CONFESSION alert, I actually purchased three dresses to wear for my birthday night in case I did not like one as much as the other or in case one did not fit. I came across a dress last minute from Hellomolly.com which happened to be exactly what I was looking for and the perfect shade of blush. After rush delivery and lots of birthday wishes that it would fit just right, it was a WINNER! Now that I was extremely relieved and the last minute and most important detail turned out to be the best decision ever made, it was finally time to celebarte…..
