My Top Beauty Products This Spring
This Spring I decided to try out a new brand of makeup. After a couple of my makeup artist friends highly recommended NYX to me, I decided to give it a whirl. When it comes to makeup and beauty products, I have never been one for any specific brand, and I don't believe that only high end makeup is great quality. I like my affordable make up just as much as I like my Chanel. It's all about finding what suits you and your skin tone best. I do have my foundations that I have been using for years, and a few certain things that I don't switch up too much (but that's for another blog post) However, I do still like to experiment with different shades during different seasons, and different products now and again. This is how I came across these amazing products, that have quickly become my favorite! NYX has proven to be such great quality, at an affordable price. I love it! My everyday ten minute makeup routine: A great and light base foundation, NYX studio photogenic concealer for under eyes, NYX Wonder pencil for eye waterline, a darker contour for my outer cheekbones, followed by a light bronzer along the cheek bones, finish the look with your favorite mascara, and finally, apply NYX soft matte lip cream, and top with NYX Matte Finish setting spray.
Natural looking, and quick, with just the right amount of pop. This is my everyday run around makeup, and has been for years.
This lip color is amazing and ONLY $5.99!! NYX, where have you been all my life?! It's not just the perfect shade that I have been looking high and low for, it also has that matte finish I have been so desperate to find. It literally lasts hours without having to reapply. I wear, and cant get enough of the shade "Stockholm".
Okay, so this I actually came across by accident. While shopping for a new concealer, I happen to see this, and wanted to try it. I fell in love! This pencil is great for applying to your waterline to give your eyes a more open, and bright look. I mainly love this pencil because it's a three in one, acting as a concealer, eye brightener, or reverse lip liner. For once again, only $5, it doesn't get much better than that. I wear Light/Clair in this product.
Wow, Let me just tell you. I have been buying the same concealer for years, spending $35 a pop. After wanting to try and find a new concealer, I came across this one, which is actually what got me to test out NYX products all together.. and wow! I cant say it enough. Only $5 and completely blows my concealer of three years out of the water.... can you believe it?! I'm definitely going to be sticking to this one for now on. I prefer a hint of yellow in my concealers, so in this product I wear "Beige"
Last makeup product, but not least, is this Matte finish spray by NYX. I absolutely love this stuff. Not only does it give my overall look a matte and more polished finish, but it holds my makeup in place all night long. For under $10, it's worth it a million times over. I cant believe it took me so long to use these setting sprays. I also bought the "dewy" finish spray, and also love that one for a more night time look and fresh glow.
This is of course not part of my daily makeup routine, but It's definitely one of my Spring favorites, and I had to share it with you. This spring, you will rarely see me wearing a different shade on my nails. I've always been a girl for more natural and lighter shades when it comes to Spring and Summer for makeup and beauty. I love this OPI nail color because its so universal, and goes with everything. It's completely natural looking, and perfect for spring or summer. This color is "Feeling Frisco".
