Follow Me To The Skies
"One Way To Get The Most Out Of Life Is To Look Upon It As An Adventure" -

As you can see we have the calm, laid back Norwegian and then we have the overly enthusiastic American. Ha! Gotta love it!
Yesterday, as I embarked on a new daring adventure, I take a moment of silence. A moment of silence to ask myself whether I'm really crazy enough to experience something that up until a few weeks ago, I really knew nothing about, or for that matter, even really had heard of! Just as I'm talking some sense into myself, I suddenly feel my adventurous side take over (like it typically does), and immediately, just like that, I'm prepared for take off.
Truth be told, Acro flying is something completely new to me. I had never heard much about it, And just recently had I found out exactly what it was. After hearing about these daredevil stunts that take place during Acro flying, I knew it was something I absolutely had to try! Twists, turns, loops, free falling from the sky?! All of this seemed to do nothing but excite me more and more. This was something I was going to do, and not even my fear was going to stop me. Sometimes you just need to step up to the plate, face your fears, and live life's adventures. That's exactly what I did, and I'm so glad I didn't back down....
Acro flying has to be one of the most exciting things I have ever challenged myself to do. I loved every single minute of it! I've always been an avid roller coaster junkie, but this was something that took my love for roller coasters to another level, and I knew it would. Although the thrill of the flight alone is something so incredible, I truly have to give all credit to my pilot.
My boyfriend Nicolai's little brother is the whole reason I even found out exactly what Acro flying was. At 21 years old, (yeah, I said 21) he is today not just a pilot, but an Acro pilot. How incredible is that? Eirik has been a pilot since he was 16 years old, competing in many championships, and always the youngest competitor competing against men twice his age. I think this is the only thing that brought me even just an ounce of comfort when considering flying with someone so young. Any doubt I may have had about his ability due to his age or experience, he threw right out the window the second we took off. I am truly not just stunned by his young talent, but completely impressed. Hey, it doesn't hurt that I get to reap the benefits of an Acro flyer in the family either? Hehe.
So Follow me on my Acro-journey into the sky...It wont be long before you want to experience it yourself....trust me!
